ELECTRODES

Normally, anodes consist of basic component, which is responsible for mechanical stability and uniform current distribution. As titanium has all these character, insoluble anodes are manufactured with titanium as a basic component. Anodes are occasionally manufactured on Niobium, Tantalum and Zirconium. In general, anodes are available in the form of plate, mesh, rod, wire, ribbon and customs built. Electro-catalytically selective DSA titanium anodes from TAF are to use for various application, referred in our electrode selection guide. It proves superior to conventional Nickel, Lead, Lead alloy, Steel, Graphite & Magnetite anodes.

Application

Chlor-Alkali Electrodes

Electro-Chlorination Electrodes

Cathodic-Protection Anodes

Metal Finishing Anodes

Recoating / Refurbishment of Electrodes

Using our anodes saves money on….

Substrate: A one-time investment; Anodes can be recoated for a fraction of what it world cost to replace worn-out conventional anodes. Labour: With our anodes, the sludge commonly encountered with conventional anodes, e.g., nickel, lead, steel, and magnetite is virtually nonexistent, saving you the cost of labour intensive sludge removal as well as their disposal costs. Manufacturing: As anodes are titanium based there is no build-up of lead and other heavy metal contaminants. Environmental liability: Anodes are environmentally friendly; no hazardous waste sludge is produced. Energy: Lowering in cell voltage to extent of 0.4 - 0.5V leading to 10-15% saving in energy consumption. Production costs: High corrosion resistance of anodes makes for long lasting performance.

Anode Selection:

The given mentioned reference table has been prepared by us to used on their experience and to assist you with any question regarding your specific application.

PTA: Platinised Titanium anode: Advisable to use in pH between 1-12 fluorides up to 50 mg/ltr. Platinum layer thickness is possible up to 20 micron.

PNA: Platinised Niobium Anode: Platinised niobium anode is preferred for high current application and when the resistivity of titanium is too high or its breakdown potential is to low. Advisable to use in pH between 1 to 10 fluorides up to 500 mg/ltr. Platinum layer thickness is possible up to 20 micron.

PIA: Platinum & Iridium anode: Advisable to use in pH between 1 to 12.MMO layer thickness is possible up to 08 micron.

RUA: Ruthenium anode: Advisable to use in pH between 1 to 12. Ru. Layer thickness is possible up to 08 micron.

IBA: Iridium based anode: Advisable to use in pH between 1 to 12. Ir. layer thickness is possible up to 08 micron.

MMOA: Metal Mixed Oxide Coated anode: Advisable to use in pH between 1 to 12. MMO layer thickness is possible up to 08 micron.

PDBA: Palladium Based Anode: Advisable to use in pH between 1 to 12. Pd. Layer thickness is possible up to 08 micron.
